Happy New Year! Don't you love today's date? On that note, I am also really looking forward to 11/11/11 (it doesn't hurt that 11/11/11 is Veteran's Day and, thus, a day off from work)!
Jim and I spent our second consecutive New Year's Eve at a party hosted by our close friends Jen and Dan. I met Jen at the Appellate Division and then we both accepted trial level clerkships for judges in the same District. Due to the job change, I won't run into her at Districtwide functions anymore :-( This just means we'll have to make a point to do couples night out more often (notice how nicely that melds into one of my personal resolutions?).

It was so exciting to see all the finishing touches Jen and Dan have put on their new house. It's incredible how much you can accomplish in a year! I hope it gave Jim some motivation to start painting some of our rooms -- the white walls are starting to drive me nuts. Incidentally, Jen and Dan have a very exciting 2011 ahead of them as they recently announced that their first baby is due in June. Congrats again guys!
