Photo Challege Part 4

Day 7 of the photo challenge asks for a picture of your most treasured item. After much deliberation, I decided to go with my immediate gut reaction -- my engagement ring and wedding band!

Beyond the obvious sentimental reasons, I treasure the rings because we I designed them from scratch over the course of many months. In keeping with my desire to have something entirely different, Jim and I inscribed our wedding bands with the Roman numerals signifying our wedding date and "Mau Loa," which roughly translates to forever in Hawaiian. 

Photo Challege Part 3

Today (Day#20), I'm asked to post a picture of someplace I'd love to travel. While most of you probably know that I'm hoping Italy will be our next major trip, I haven't really specified why it has piqued my interest. The island of Capri off the southwestern coast of the country!!! Of course, consuming glass upon glass of wine like its my job won't be so bad either :-) 

I know a couple of people who have been to Capri and they've raved about it. In writing this post, I learned that Capri has been a resort area since the time of the ancient Roman republic, especially favored by the Roman emperors, including Caesar himself. Equally interesting is that Capri was known as the isle of sirens in Greek mythology. Thanks Wikitravel! Without further adieu, here are some beautiful pictures of this gorgeous island:

Photo Challenge Part 2

As promised, I'm keeping up with the photo challenge and today I will be posting a picture that always makes me smile (Day #29). It was taken a couple of summers ago after Jim scooped Buster up and ran around the yard with him Superman-style.  This isn't an easy feat since he's 55 lbs of muscle and extremely squirmy. Even though Buster looks petrified, I think it's adorable. It makes me laugh every time I see it!

Photo Challenge

Since I'm still bogged down with bar exams, I thought now would be a good time to add the Photo Challenge to my repertoire. For those of you who haven't seen it on Facebook or other blogs yet, the goal is to post 30 pictures in 30 days that fit the categories on this list. As usual, I plan to improvise because I don't have pictures for some of the categories, or I can't think of anything/anyone at the moment. I'm also going to start out of order with Day #3: a picture of the cast from your favorite show.

It may surprise you to learn that I really don't have a "favorite" show at the moment. It's too hard to pick just one because I really like a few from totally different genres (comedy, teen soap/drama, and dark vampire drama). And, no Jersey Shore isn't one of them because that's just a mindless guilty pleasure and clearly a show that I could live without.
